Yes,  I have the same port that was sewn in to my abdomen 3 years ago, and I also have the same band, although I had to have surgery to put my band back where he belonged!!

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

But out of the few responses u have so far..........Kate and Melly have had to have 2nd surgeries.

And me, too, Maria. I had to have surgery to reposition my flipped port. But that wasn't nearly as infuriating, painful, or traumatic as the 3 times I've had to have root canals in teeth that had already had root canals.

Indeed, Maria. A very short op, involving minimal after-pain and recovery within one day.

True.........but of the 3 that post here the most that are long term'ers all 3 have had 2nd surgeries. Very discouraging to know that! :-(

To me, not at all. To use Jean's teeth analogy, one of my crowns fell off my tooth recently. I had to wait a while to have it replaced and eating was awkward without it.

Does that make me wish I had never had a crown? Not at all, I got it mended and am now happily living with my full set of teeth.

It's all a matter of perspective I suppose. You, Bette and Jean seem to have no problem with having a 2nd surgery. I on the other hand would have never gotten the band had I known that it pretty much guaranteed a 2nd surgery! :-( I even asked about that specifically before I decided on the band!
