YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've had 0 problems, luv my band!!

Ok, I posted before reading the post really well. LOL But I am here to say that not everyone has problems, or will have problems. I still have, yet to read Steph's post. Nothing like putting the cart before the horse.

I haven't had any problems with my band.  We get along well.  However I would have liked gastric due to the quick weight loss.  I would have hated dumping, or maybe learning an addictive behavior or losing my hair.  It may not have happened but would not have done well if it had.  So maybe I'm one of those never satisfied or always hoping for something better.
Since I got my band and it's got me I gonna continue to work with it and be happy.

For those of you who posted replies to Steph's question and HAVE had followup surgery/surgeries:

WOULD YOU STILL OPT FOR THE BAND?

Given the current options, my answer would be (as I just posted to Steph) a resounding YES.

Oh HELL no!

I'd rather dig my eye out with a rusty nail.

The band got me to goal, the sleeve will keep me there.

I'm having a revision to rny and hate the band.Things get stuck and it's painful,my port flipped,I never never never had restriction and I weigh more now than I did before the band.My opinion is it's just not what it's made out to be.Please be sure this is what you want because if you need a revision they dont tell you it's extremely hard to get approved. The only reason I got the approval is because I have a serious brain issue called psuedotumor.Thank God my doc able to fight for me an get approval.

I'm sorry your band hasn't worked out for you...I hope you are able to revise successfully.

No, I would not get the band again, if I had another choice.  For several reasons.  I do think my body might need some malabsorption.  Even if it doesn't, then the sleeve would be a much better choice for me.  Having to travel almost 4.5 hours ONE WAY to get a fill makes my band journey very difficult.  Anytime I have been overfilled, I lived with it for a bit or had to go to an emergency room in order to get my fill level adjusted.

I am lucky, I have a repositioned band that is working for me right now.  So, even though my body is clinging to every ounce it can, I am glad I have SOMETHING

Nope.

I suffered a lot with my band for 5 years even though I lost most of my excess weight ( more than 150 pounds).

Tomorrow I am three years with the sleeve and thrilled with my decision to revise.
