2nd fill unfilled

The amount of saline in your band is totally irrelevant! What matters is how it "fits" round your stomach. If you get restriction with only 2cc in a large band - you are lucky! As you lose weight, the fat pad round your stomach shrinks and the band feels looser. If you initially get restricition with a very small amount of saline, there is much more scope for later fills! Lucky you!

We lose weight because the band helps us feel full sooner - some people need 2cc to get that effect, some need 10cc.  A small number need no fill at all!

Some docs don't like telling patients how much saline there is in their bands because peopel worry about it and it has nothing at all to do with success or failure.

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

I had my first fill in December 2010 I thought 3cc's were put in. nope.  Had my second fill this past Friday wasn't sure how much i assumed 1cc. nope. i really need to remember to ask.  Well today i went and had an unfill because it hurt to drink and i knew that was bad. I went all weekend with pretty much nothing but what little water i could tolerate. My Surgeon got me right in. I lost 5lbs since Friday not a good thing. So after a few mins of adjusting the band he said i am very sensitive. I finally asked today as of Friday i had a total of 2.75cc's I left his office today with 2ccs. I am now able to drink with no problem and i got to eat some soup. I am a little down today I am starting to wonder if i made a mistake with the band. I have read so many post and people have 4, 5, 6cc etc...in their band. I am worried that 2 is not going to give me the results i want. Sorry so long just needed someone to whine to, because my husband is done listening to me lol

Plz tell me, what is the thickness of your stomach lining?  I mean, we are all different and no two people are alike.  So specifically speaking, just how thick is your stomach wall?

This will give me a clue as to you failure as a bandster.

I'm almost 2 yrs out and have 5cc in my 10cc Lapband. When I hit 4.5 my doctor told me that some people can last a very long time with just that! My band was primed in surgery with 3cc.

If you can go 3-5 hours without being hungry with 2.75cc, then there is nothing to worry about! I am very sensitive to fills and when I get them now they are very minor.

I'm sure once you start eating again, you will feel better! If you ever have an episode where you can't swallow your own spit or fluids are coming back up, you need to call your surgeon immediately!
