Sounds amazing, but three years out... I still can't seem to control myself! I get inclusive breakfast and dinner at the ski resort but I can't seem to control myself. Every meal I pack myself WAAAAY over the limit. I am trying to control myself... you think I could this far out.

This morning I ate a LITTLE less... baby steps... so I am proud of myself.

This is just such a good opportunity to lose another 3-5lbs from skiing 4-5 hours a day, but I will absolutely blow it if I keep eating this way... not to mention.... pasta, pasta, pasta.

I hope these baby steps help! I figure if I 'talk it out'... maybe I will keep accountable to myself.. and to you guys. I am dead stuck at 159-162lbs and I really want to get to 150-155. Slow and steady...

2019: 11 years out and maintaining a loss of 150lbs.

Hey girl!  Your blog was so inspiring and touching and funny and informative.... thank you so much from a recently banded girl!!!!  It has been one month since I had the surgery and was going through a depression about the slowwwww weight loss.  After reading your blog, I felt much more relaxed and understand 'Band Hell' much better - especially since I have PCOS too - and haven't had my first fill yet!

Hang in there!  I am rooting for you!!  xo pammy

You can do it!  You know that what you are eating has been in excess and you are trying to fix that, I would say that is a success in itself.  Have you been writting down what you eat and tracking calories?  I am preop but I have read on here that helps.  What helps me at the all you can eat places is to start off with a salad with lettuce, spinach & chicken, the extra fiber makes me feel a little fuller to start off with, then I get very small amounts things that I want, sometimes a taste of it is enough.  I wish I could help or give better advice, I have not had WLS yet, but I can be a cheerleader for you and let you know that you CAN do it

Oh and 159-162, you are doing great

LOL, I so understand.  My band is empty atm so....supposedly I could eat whatever.... and found that when I am situations where there is More food, I eat more than I should (not as much as old me would eat....but more none the less.)  So I am keeping track of all that (terrified to waking up to old me) Grats on the baby steps, you know the story sunshine....avoid those lovely carbs :)  You have done great, hang in there :)

Hugs,
Swoosh :)
I am a work in progress...perhaps never completed or perfected; but forever working to change for the better...

Try to keep this little tidbit in mind..."It's not free if you end up paying at the scale!"

Nothing in life is free, r-i-g-h-t?

Hang in there my Jet Setting friend!

Another example of free not neccesarily being good. I don't think it matters how far out we are the temptation is always still there! Good luck you can do it!
