Im 3 1/2 weeks post op. Been doing great with foods and stuff. Right now my doc says i can be on soft foods. So I was eating some deli turkey, which ive been liking and has been going down well. Being careful to chew good too. Nut says it good for the protein.
As im eating, my wife and kids come running in the front door and I lose track of what im doing. Alas.. I shoved a whole piece in my mouth without thinking. Of course, 3 min later im spittin up over the toilet. Ive been preparing myself for this as I knew it was going to happen eventually.
Needless to say it wasnt as bad as expected. I guess I was expecting full on, violent vomiting.

Congrats on becoming a full fledge bandsters!, but seriously, most slimming episode are not really bad, I still have them going on 6 years post op, if I don't chew well especially fruit, dry meat or anything that is thick or dense.

You will find that you will do better with meats that are very moist or in some type of sauce. Trust me slimming can be a horrific ordeal that can last for HOURS if you ever get plugged up. I got stuck once on some Chinese food, rice is very evil, I slimmed for hours and finally PB, my vomit is never really gross or anything like real vomit, it's more like a spit up from the upper pouch minus the stomach acid.....but PBing is very rare for me, only when I goof and not chew well on thick foods.

I will take a mild spit up any day...compared to what RNY, DSrs and most recently some Sleevers experience with Hypoglycemic episodes of eating just carbs they violently vomit, shake and even faint on real food....did I say I love my lap band.....

Sorry, I did not see that you are only 2 1/2 weeks post op, you need to be VERY CAREFUL, I think most NUTS don't allow solid food prior to 4 weeks post op, your band needs to heal and set in place and you do not need to slime or vomit especially before you heal.

Take it easy and try to stick with mushy food and liquids at least until 6 weeks post op.

I feel for you! It doesn't happen often, but when it does, it's like the band is giving you a reminder....hey, slow it down. Went out for Chinese food last night and ate three-quarters of a dumpling. It got stuck and I had to make three trips to the bathroom before the sliming stopped. Its the first time it happened in a restaurant!

With all of that said....I LOVE MY BAND!! Best of luck!

I hate getting stuck.  I had it happen twice after my first fill where I actually PB'd.  Once was in a restaurant because of melted provolone cheese that turned into rubber.. ack.  I hate that pain of having a lump in your throat and chest.

Be careful. you are newly banded and it can damage your band if you do it too much.  chew chew chew and congrads on your new lifestyle.
