I used to get on OH daily but have not been on in a VERY long time. It always inspired me to hear the journey of others.

Yesterday was my 2 year anniversary. I weighed 287 lbs when I had Lap Band surgery and today I weigh 203 lbs. I am still working at my weight loss but if this is as far as I go, it is all worth it.

-I have so much energy to keep up with my kids (3 year old and 4 year old)
-I am not as irritable with my husband so it has improved my marriage
-I can wear regular size clothing
-I can fit comfortably in a plane seat and an amusement park ride
-I don't go to sleep everynight ashamed and disappointed in myself for what I ate that day.
-I don't worry constantly that I will die young and leave my kids without a mother
-I have a feeling of peace and control that I never had pre-surgery
-I am able to maintain my weight with very little effort.
-I am able to lose weight with a small amount of effort.

My mom and my husband were not in support of me having the surgery. Now they both admit that it has been life changing and they are happy I did it.

I am so happy with my new life and would not change a step in this journey!!!

Shesh whatta you think you are doing coming on the Lap Band support board and telling us that your life has improved since you have been banded.  OMG you are loosing weight, are happy with your life and what was that - You and your family are happy with YOUR decision.

Congratulations for a job well done.  Doesn't time fly by.  Soon I will be posting my 2 year bandanniversary as well.

Isn't it  nice to be able to walk around the store and look at all the different choices of clothes available for normal size women. Big people have money to spend as well.  It would be nice if everything did not have huge ugly prints on it.  And the women's section in the department store was bigger than 12 x 12

Remember, if you want to be a 155 pound person, you have to EAT like one.
