Anyone else have trouble sitting too long after surgery?

I am ten days out from my lap band surgery, and I should mention I had a hernia repaired too. My trouble is that I can't sit up for too long it is painful to sit up after awhile.

Yes, when I sat too long I got a nagging pain near the port site. This occured up to around 10 days after surgery, then the pain slowly began to subside. It gets better.

 I did .  I had trouble sitting for a quite awhile.  It is better now, but still every now and again I get a twinge at my port and get up and walk around.

Yep.. I think that was the most frustrating part of recovery.  I love to communicate via computer and could only sit up for an hour or two and would have to go lie down again.

It will get better.  Be gentle with yourself while you recover.
