Problem Foods???
For me it's:
Pancakes, bagels, steak, porkchops (but I can eat ham just fine), I guess dry meats in general and burgers. Most pizza although I enjoy a slice now and then.
*I enjoy all seafood including shrimp which a lot of people have trouble with but I can eat as many as I want!! I can eat toast and once in a while a small italian sub from papa ginos (no other place I can just eat their bread for some reason). I can eat eggs anyway I want them, deli roll ups, cheese sticks, raw veggies and salads are no problem I just chew very well (they are filling from the water I swear I can only eat a few slices of cucumber and I feel full). I can eat rice with no problem too which I really enjoy with my dinners.
I'm italian and still love my food and can eat a huge variety of dinners with my family. Sheppards Pie, meatloaf and potatoes, chicken pot pie, eggplant parm, chicken parm, chicken and veggies with rice, Turkey dinners, ham dinners with squash. Basically there's not too much I can't have which is wonderful-truly everything in moderation except those few items at the top that give me some trouble.
I recommend sticking with soup if you go out to eat in the beginning until you get very used to your band!!!!! Karianne

For me:
Any kind of jerky or dry meat in general - I have to cook all of my own meat or it is not tender enough.
apple (unless I peel it and warm it in microwave)
anything fibrous (i.e. coconut, asparagus, celery, etc.)
bread (unless REALLY thin and toasted but I don't eat it anyway due to white flour)
flour tortillas (get stuck like a doughy ball)
Melon of all sorts (but I don't like it anyway, so no worries!)
Grapes
Despite the above, I have a very rich and savory daily diet! :)

Everyone really is different. I have a close friend who has lap band and can literally eat anything :) There are a few things that I can not eat:
Chicken... I have tried it cooked many different ways
Bread... I really do not miss it anymore
Salad... something about lettuce does not work for me
I wish you the best of luck :)
