So I had my port revision done about 2 weeks ago and things are going very well, I was very sore for a few days but had no other issue, I can tell a big difference now that it is back in place, there is no PAIN!!!!!! I am able to sleep on my side now as well. I have the right amount of fluid in my band, sure hope it continues this way for a while, oh and today I had to move my seat up in the car on the way home!!!! I had room to do that!!!!! Its a slow process but one I am so glad I made. Will be a year out next week.

Hey that is a great NSV moving your seat forward!  Keep up the hard work.  It's worth the effort.

What is a port revision and why did you need it, if I may ask?

My port ( the place that they put the needle into to fill your band) had flipped and needed to be stitched back down, it happens sometimes but not often. I requested him to put in a few extra stitches this time!!! was off of work for 3 days but could of went back after 2 if I had to.

Hi, I am new here and my surgery for a gastric band is due in 9 days..I just saw your post that your port  flipped and that it jhappens? Is this normal? Is this something this will happen to on a more or less regular basis?

It is not normal, but those things usually happen to me!! We could of left it alone and we did for a few months, ( I was recovering from back surgery and did not want another surgery so soon), it only hurt when I bent over or went to lay on my side. The issue came when I went to get a fill and they were unable to access the port, we had no choice then but to fix it, it was a very easy surgery 15 minutes and I was home in a few hours.
