Is this normal?

How's your gallbladder?  Still have it?  If so, weight loss can cause issues.  One of the symptoms is getting sick just smelling foods cooking that you normally love.  Gassy foods like broccoli and cabage-type foods cause distress when eaten, but also just the smell can trigger an attack. Same deal with greasy foods.  There are gallbladder cleanses that people swear by, but I never tried and can't recommend any of them.  But I would probably try one if I were having symptoms that are uncomfortable, but not severe enough to get me to the doc.  My sister actually had an ultrasound and they found stones.  But since she didn't have insurance at the time, she tried one of the cleanses and swore by it.  That was 10-15 years ago and she still has her gallbladder.  It was something with natural apple juice, vinegar, etc.  Anyway, if you have a gallbladder, it's something to consider since you are losing weight.
Hope you feel better soon.

The gallbladder is fine; had a THOUGHROUGH physical before my surgery. I'm thinking maybe it's the constant smell of things bothering me. We'll see; I've heard that surgery can sharpen the sense of smell, maybe that's it.
