Why I Chose the Band (Repost)
Thank you Bette for this post. I truly love to come here and give support but it is very hard when you come and give your point of view from your experience and recieve the negativity because unlike others who have had issues (and I truly feel sorry for them), you have had no issues and sometimes I feel like it is easier to just go about living my life than face the negativity. I dont mind hearing how the band did not work for someone on a personal level but when they come here and say the band does not work...I found it hard to accept. I will never try to make someone get a band, I know it is not for all, but 5 years later, I still believe it is the one for me. I was able to go to Iraq with very little saline in my band, did not want to get over there, have problems and not have a way to get treated. In a year, I wont lie, I gain some weight, about 10 pounds...I can never remember only gaining 10 pounds in a year, once I got back and made a appointment with my doctor and started to get my fill back..i think I need one more to get back where I need to...but I have been able to get those 10 pounds back off. I am saying all this to say..I dont believe that i would have been able to do that with another surgery..I am going to work this one until I cant work it any longer, if something should happen, then I will research and find out what the best surgery is for me at that time....sorry for being long winded...let me sneak back in my corner of observation.
