Scolded by TSA

So I have had to fly on business for 3 weeks straight.

When i went through security on Tuesday, the TSA agent took my license and looked at me and said, "I know this is you - but honey, you need to update this ID --- you must be 100 pounds lighter than this picture"

Actually, she is probably about right --- my DL says that I weigh 240 -- so, surely I was 255 when I said that --- LOL

I have it on my 'to-do' list for next week --- go, stand in line at the DMV, and get a new DL!!!!

I had asked last prior to getting my last license - by the time I had lost a 100-150 pounds, I looked NOTHING like my license photo, but DMV said I had to just wait until my net renewal came along, (shrugs) Fine with me.

In Arizona, we are issued our DL's and they are valid for -- can you believe this ---- 25 years!!!

So, my DL does not expire for 13 more years -- a hell of a long time to live with a crappy picture!!!

In anticipation of a possible trip to Mexico I remembered that I haven't changed my name to my married name on my passport.  So I pulled out the passport and that's not the only thing that's changed!  Time for a new picture too!

I guess you're going to have to say you lost yours if they won't issue you a new one like Bette suggested.

Awesome that they noticed.  Everytime I show my id I think someone is going to say something and they never do.  Just shows you that the lady at the check out counter never REALLY looks!

I was lucky mine expired on my birthday last September and when I went to renew, on my birthday coz I forgot prior, the lady behind the counter says, "is there any info on here you need to change?" then she looked up and saw me and back to her screen and says, "ummm yeah, I really think you need to change this!" It was a great feeling. My license said I was 250 but I know I was well over 300 in the picture. At this point when I get to my ultimate goal, I think I may pay the damn $10 for a new one because I'm sure it will be before my renewal again in 3 yrs!

Kath,

That's great! I had a similar experience when I renewed my DL a few years ago. TN doesn't put your weight on the license, and I didn't say anything about my weight or a new photo, but after the motor vehicle clerk worked her way through the first few steps of renewing my license, she looked up from her computer and said, "You must've lost a ton of weight, 'cause you don't look anything like your old photo."

And when I went through Immigrations on my way back into the US, the agent said, "You need a new passport photo" when he handed me back my license.

Made my day!

I love it!  Reminds me of a major milestone for me...weighing as much (actually, as little lol) as I had put on my driver's license!!

That's fantastic! I can't wait to change my license pic. In CT, they don't put weight on DL. But, they do on military ID's. lol! So, I'll have to get that changed as well. Oh and my passport pic will need to be changed as well. lmao! I'll just have a bunch of things to change over. lmao!!
