Oatmeal recipe

Hi All! Just wanted to share a great oatmeal recipe my husband found.

1/2 cup whole oats
1 cup water
1 scoop vanilla protein powder

Microwave on high for 1 minute, stir, microwave 1 more minute (keep a watchful eye; may overflow.)

1/4 blueberries
1/4 chopped walnuts

optional: 1 TBS Splenda brown sugar or 1 packet Truvia.

Sounds great! I never thought to add the protein powder to the oats when I cook them up. Thanks for posting.

doesn't the powder break down when you cook it??  If not i'll give it a try

Soy will breakdown, whey will not.

It doesn't really breakdown... it kind of blends in with the mushiness of the oatmeal. I use the Walmart brand "Body Fortress.)

Jen,  Sounds delicious!  As soon as blueberries and walnuts are back on my post surgery diet I am definitely making this!
