NSV-a mile on the treadmill!
While on vacation recently I noticed, that at our family home, using the stairs 10-15 times per day, my back was better. When I returned to Washington and lived on one level, my back got worse. I decided to try the eliptical(replicate the stairs) and treadmill and see if how far I could get...I did a mile in about 21 min, kept my heart rate in the zone for 18 min and while I am sore from the eliptical, I am so happy that I acheived something I thought I had lost. I have not been able to work for 4 years (today is the 4th anniversary of the injury that disabled me) and this is an important step back to an active life. I would not have been able to do this 63 lbs ago...I could barely walk a small block!
