I haven't been feeling so great since surgery last week. Trouble getting down really anything past broth and tea. Today I woke up and my stomach was actually growling I've been able to get down more fluids. Some protein shake BTW Nectar ROCKS!! and even had a spoonful of yogurt. So making progress. Thank Goodness. I have a horrible stuffy nose though still I think it is just the weather though.

A. Love the icon
B. It can take more time than one can think to feel human again after surgery. I saw women 3 days out of surgery back at my support groups when I was pre-op and I was like wow, that's amazing. Yeah, it also wasn't me. I was still sipping broth and wearing the biggest sweatpants I owned, lol.

Not to worry. It will get better soon. My severe soreness around the incisions went away after about two weeks. I took my pain meds or liquid tylenol as needed.

Stomach growling doesn't seem to go away anytime soon.  At 7 weeks I have a lot of it.

Stuffy noses really do make us feel bad, nothing to do with the surgery. I use a lot of saline nasal spray to clear it out.

I was still resting a lot for the first couple of weeks with a short afternoon nap.  that seemed to help a lot. thankfully I wasn't working and could sleep late in the morning if I felt like it.

Then some walking. I rushed out to the gym too soon and ended up with more pain, but it has finally gotten better.  As many people write, gas is a problem.  Gas X  does help.

Hi,
I feel like you wrote my post!  I had my surgery Feb 17 and am only now starting to feel somewhat human.  I also had  a stuffy nose that developed into a sinus infection - are we twins?? lol
And maybe that's what the odd stomach sensation I'm feeling is - hunger!
