New Here...excited and scared

My surgery date is Friday! I am very excited...feel a little bit like a butterfly about to emerge. But I'm also scared of failure. I've been lurking and reading all of your posts and I just wanted to introduce myself. Congratulations on your surgery being Friday!  There is failure with everything in life...nothing is foolproof.  There are SO MANY success stories!  If you follow what your doctor says and you use your common sense, you will SUCCEED!!  It's a new beginning!

Hi there! So great to get yourself out to say hello before Friday. I had spent so much time being afraid of failure that I created it rather than fought it. Then, I made the decision to get ther lap band. Lots of hard days battling me and my head/old ways of thinking BUT the difference is I have  tool I never had before and I really believe in it and in me for the first time in a very long time. I believe that you are taking that step too! Introducing yourself was another one. Good on ya love!! Go get 'em!!

I am so happy for you.  i know how you feel and it is a wonderful tool.  It will work for you if you work for it.  I know that I made the right decision.  I wish you luck and hope you do well.  So glad that you are happy here.  OH is a great place.  I have started a group on OH called "All About Me in NJ".  it should be up and running within the next couple of days.  Please stop by when you are feeling up to it.

Welcome! Congrats on your surgery date you have quite a journey in front of you .. a good journey!  Just remember to walk walk walk afterwards.. it helps sooooooo much!!
