Losing too much weight
My last fill was January 5th and it was only a .5cc difference. At first I only noticed a small change. Things would get stuck that hadn't before and I was fuller faster. But something happened about 10 days ago and I haven't been able to keep any food down without it coming back up or getting stuck. Even oatmeal and yogurt haven't been going down. Problem is my doctor is in Sacramento and I am in Reno and because of the past week worth of snowstorms I haven't been able to get down for an unfill. I am losing weight like crazy because I can't eat, but I have been doing protien shakes and pedialyte and a lot of vitamins. I have been losing about 1.5-2lbs a day but In protein shakes and pedialyte I am consuming about 800 calories a day, and my bodybugg says I only burn between 1900-2500 a day. So that is only a deficit of 1200 a day. Why am I losing so much so fast? I know weight loss is good and all but this is no fun. :( Anyone have any suggestions? I have an unfill appointment friday and hopefully the weather is good enough to get down there.
Can your local ER not help you? If this is going to be something where there is no other way out try skipping the oatmeal. It gets stuck on me often and I'm not to tight. Maybe you should call your Dr and see what he recommends you do until you get there. Until then drink as many protein shakes as you can, this is what my diet was the first few weeks post op.
I lost all of my weight eating 800 calories a day, (as per my Nut), so if you're truly getting in 800 you're fine. The problem is that you are most likely not even hitting that number if you can't eat anything. It takes 3 full days for the swelling to reach it's peak after a fill, (according to my PA), but you're way past that so you are simply too tight, OR you have eaten something perhaps to irritate things and are swollen. Either way, you need an unfill immediately. Y0u need to be able to eat solid protein to feel satisfied, etc. Then aim for 800-1000 calories and you'll keep losing weight.
