I hope it stays away too!  Although this weekend I ate a donut and I beat myself up all day about it.  But now I am over it.  Lol.  I keep cheese sticks in the fridge also,  is there anything you can't really eat?  I had a salad the day before my first fill and I felt so sick the next day.  Not sure if it was a stomach bug, it was going around my house that week.  But I have had salad before and really did not have a problem.  Who knows?    Oh and portions, at home I am fine, I am just getting use to going out and ordering small.  About a month ago me and my husband went to Panera and I ordered a soup and 1/2 salad, and when he brought it to the table I was looking at it like "what the heck was I thinking?  Should have just ordered the soup Lol".  But I am learning.  Lol

Andrea,

There is nothing I cant eat I think I have tried everything I have ate before and everything is fine.  I have to be careful on some things .  There are just certain foods I only allow myself to have as a treat  and how often I eat them but I dont deny myself of nothing either as you can see from this past weekend

I make a lot of homemade beef jerky and I eat that for snacks sometimes and if I don****ch myself I will gobble that up to fast and swig a big drink of water and well that is not pretty

The only other  thing is I can not eat a snack and then drink something really cold afterword's if I do I can feel it making its way back up .

I have been craving Pepsi lately that was my sin of drinks before the lapband.  I know alot of people let it go flat or dont have problems at all, but I'm the type of person if I could drink it without any problems then I would start making a habit of drinking it again so I just stay away from it all together no matter how tempted I am . Plus we are not allowed to have it lol.

Go****'s hard getting use to that you can eat much less isn't it especially when you go out lol.   What we have started to do is just hubby and son orders something they both order something different then I get a salad plate and pick off their plate lol.  It's easier plus its cheaper hubby loves it lol.

You will learn something new every day Andrea keep up the great work :o)

Kathy,

Congrats on your upcoming surgery how exciting !!! I hope things go as well for you as they have for me keeping my fingers crossed for you !!!!

Kathy, I had no portion control at all either.  I was never a sweets eater, I was never a snacker , I wasnt any of them .

Just getting the band around my stomach has been enough for me to help with portion control that is all I needed. And I play alot of mental games with myself also Kathy and I think that is the big reason why I dont get fills yet.  I truly believe getting the lapband is 90% mental .  I can talk myself into being hungry if I want to but in reality Im not .

And its been doing its job.  I have had  my times when I say oh screw it I dont want to eat healthy tonight and go to McDonalds and what do I do I get a grilled chicken sandwich and take the bread off and just eat the chicken so much for not eating healthy lmao.  I get the guilts if I eat something bad for me expect for this past weekend oops lol.  95% of the time I get the guilts and I will talk myself out of it lol.

Good luck on your upcoming surgery and keep us updated !!!!!
