Ive not vomited once.  I think some people burp up food sometimes if they eat too fast or too much or something gets stuck.  So far that hasn't happened to me.

oh yes, I threw up.  Not constantly but some.  my esophagus could not handle grill foods or dry meats.  Sometimes strange things would get stuck in my esophagus and would throw up.

I may be wrong, but I think with any of these surgeries if you eat too fast or too much, that could be a side effect.  Hopefully you are doing your research about every side effect and complication with each surgery.  Good luck to you.

YA I know it was with the GB,I don't think it was with the DS,and couldn't remember with the lapband But I think I will go ahead and give the lapband a try I almost backed out but I'm still hanging in there I did back out of the gastric bypass that was too scary for me...I done my consult for gastric bypass though so now I don't know if I'll have to do another one for lapband ...

In five years-twice...both after trying to eat ham.

As far as illness goes, my dr prescribed me phenergan after surgery to help with any nausea and he refills as needes anytime I feel like I have a stomach bug or something--he says it is always best to avoid throwing up from your "bottom stomach" whenever possible, and the phenergan certainly does that-one and I instantly have any stomach sickness subside
