Do you have soup? SF popsicles?  Protein shakes?

I would think you could have any of those things. I'm allowed soft foods the day of fill.

I am instructed to be on clear liquids for 24 hours, then protein shakes for the next 24 hours.

In the beginning it was easy.  Now not so much.  I am used to eating again and want some food LOL.  I just drink lots of water and protein drinks.

Knock on wood I have never had any trouble with fills so far and I have had 6.
Remember, if you want to be a 155 pound person, you have to EAT like one.

Ask your doc. My instructions are just to have soft foods for the rest of the day (even if the fill is late in the day) and then go on to regular foods the next day. So no liquids at all.

I have protein drinks, jello, sf popsicles, soups or broth ( if anything is actually in the soup I puree it), hot cocoa, sf pudding, etc. I have to do that for 24-48 hours then the same with soft foods, and slowly back to a regular diet. I hate it, but my surgeon says he's never actually had a patient die from following these instructions. I just think I am.

My Doc says "eat solids" Why so many different instructions? I had my second fill today, 6 weeks after the last one. I had restriction for the first 1-2 weeks and the rest of the time its been completely up to me. Did lose 5 lbs though. I'm happy with that just needed more restriction.

My doctor is an hour drive from my home, so I have to come prepared.  My instructions are liquids day of fill, soft or mushie the evening of.. progress to regular as tolerated the next day.

So I try to bring a rtd protein drink with me as I usually stay in town to shop after my fill.  I'll stop and buy a greek yogurt or small cottage cheese late in the day (the one time I'll allow myself the greek yogurt with fruit or honey.. usually off the menu b'cuz too much sugar).  If still in town at supper time, I'll stop at a restaurant I know has things that I can eat after a fill and have a cup of their chili.  Has worked for me so far.

I just got my first fill on Wednesday. My instructions were liquids for the rest of the day, puree for 2 days and softs for 2 days. But I hadn't progressed to solids before the fill any way. I was only up to softs. But, to answer your question, I had protein shakes, tomato soup thinned with skim milk, water and broth. Yesterday I stuck with puddings. Prolly do the same today.
