Every time I get a fill I have port discomfort for a bout a week...

Does anyone else get  this? Is there anything I can do prevent or stop it from happening?

No, I have never experienced that.  I carry more of my weight on my lower half, and I imagine if a person is a apple shape, it would be more difficult to access their port.  Do you get bruised?  You might try an ice pack for a short time after a fill and see if that helps.  You could also ask your surgeon.

Hi there,
I get post-fill port pain every time.  It's obnoxious, but I just accept it.  Working my abs more does help.  It's painful at first (more stomach crunches or ab-work at the gym) around the port when I worked my abs, but it has made the post-injection port pain ease up a bit.  Added benefit is the ab-work is starting to show.

Hang in there.  Pretty soon you will not need fills as often so it will not be as big of a deal.
