Well, I was banded in June 2007 and after hard nutrition work and working with a trainer at our gym....i lost 115 lbs and was running for the first time since high school!  I accomplished this in 14 months....then I realized I really wanted another baby.  So, I September 2008, I became pregnant with my baby girl.  I kept my band filled until after my first trimester and the fact that I delivered @ 31 weeks, 9 weeks premature...I only gained 15 lbs but I am quite sure it was fluid retention due to my kidneys failing (lupus related).  I had a c-section and every since then, I can't seem to get restriction like I had before I was pregnant.  My band is a 10cc and I am currently @ 6.8, which is where i was before I was pregnant and I was almost too tight then.  I have had two leak test and they both showed no leaks in the tubing....so, on Monday, I am having and upper GI xray and the fill will depend on what my xray shows....hopefully, i just need more saline in my band!  This has been going on for 2 years and I am tired of watching the scales go up instead of down...on my last fill, i did get a little restriction for a few days then it went away.  I feel like I did after my second fill...I know there is something in "there" but not what i felt before!  When i lost the 115 lbs, breads, rice, basically anything but protien and soft veggies were off limits...would pb quickly and soda was off limits too!  now, i can eat anything!  i hate it!  i want the old "sensation" back!  and my prepregnacy body back and i am willing to give it may all again!  I feel a fresh start coming on monday!  yay me!

That's the good thing about the band...you can start over and get fills.  I think you may need more of a fill then you had before.  Your body changes from pregnancy and this maybe one of the changes.  Some people need more in their band then others do...I have 9.9 cc.s.

Hopefully your next fill will give you the restriction you need.  In the mean time if you haven't already I would go back to the gym.  Exercise has done wonders for my weight loss.  I am now consistently losing every week...for 5 months now.  I am trying to work my way up to running....like you did.  I hope I will be running soon.

Good luck
