insurance approved appeal to fix band!!
I'm so excited! Wasn't expecting this!
Found out my band slipped, but went back into place. The doctor and I realized this had probably happened before, just that we caught it this time with an ex-ray.
Now to set up a date. Wondering if any of you had your band "restiched" and the recovery time.

The problem is, once you slip you are very likely to slip again. Scarring and adhesions never grow in the same place with the same quality and THAT is what holds the band in place long term.
Recovery is the same as placing the band to begin with minus the port.

The band got me to goal, the sleeve will keep me there.

I had a major slip in Jan '10 that I had to have surgically put back in place and restitched. I had thrown up for about three days straight and ended up busting all my surgical sutures. No scar tissue had formed to hold the band in place. I did take two weeks off of work, but one week would have been plenty. Then the process to refilling the band all over again. Best of luck.
