I was 350 pounds when I had mine done and one of the girls in my support group meeting was 425 pounds so I dont see why you couldnt have it done unless there is some unknown medical reasons why not .

You are seriously asking US if yu are going to be approved?

No worries, one of the DRAMA MAMAS will try talking you out of it, anyway.  That's what they do.

Why not?  If there are safer and more effective procedures, why not?  Why shouldn't people be educated in all their options?

Educating people in all their options does not mean drama.  It  means adult level research, Brock. Just like we offered you when you asked for help on the revision board.

If I have said it once, I have said it 1000 times.  Actually, I am getting SICK of repeating this:

I am ALL FOR researching the surgery you need before you have it.  All for it!  What irks me are the morons that BASH a surgery.

Look EVERY, EVERY, WLS has it's risks.  Want me to say that again?  EVERY SINGLE ONE!

But putting one surgery down just because you have a personal vendetta against it...JUST.....PLAIN......STUPID!

Now go re-read some of my past posts when I said VER BATUM the same stuff.  I am SICK of that speech!

No, not going to work.

For the 1000th time posting stats and peer reviewed journal articles is not bashing a surgery type.  It isn't MY fault if the stats and safety issues aren't better than they are.

The STATS Brock, the STATS.  Overall STATS, that's not bashing, that's telling the truth, something you agreed with on the revision boards.

Now, please reread MY posts where I have explained this ad-nauseaum.

I already was approved however it was submitted for gastric bypass without clearing what surgery I had selected, I want the Lap-Band.  The doctor says the Lap-Band surgery would be setting me up for failure for it was not for the "super obese".

Hi,I was told I was too fat for the lap-band,too.And that I would fail by one wls surgeon. He got approval for the rny from insurance company againest my wishes. So I did my research and found a different wls surgeon, who agreed with me that a band was perfect for me.Well, on May 24th 2010,I got my band.Yippeee, best thing I have ever done.My starting weight was 283lbs and this morning I weighted 169lbs.A loss of 114 lbs.Stick to your guns,it is your choice, which surgery you have.Good luck.Thank you Dr.Cywes for believing in me.
