I've read some posts where others experienced an increase in tightness when they were taking allergy medicine.  Supposedly, it has something to do with the medicine drying you out.  I believe that is why I have so much tightness first thing in the mornings.  I drink all thru the day and  overnight I usually have to make one or two potty visits.  That can really dry me out.  In the morning, after drinking about 20 ounces, the tightness lightens up (usually takes about an hour or so).

Hey, thanks for letting me know about that!  I'll try and drink more first thing in the morning to see if that will help.

I have a terrible time with my sinuses and take a lot of meds in the spring for my allergies & asthma.  It always makes me tighter.  I just take more care with what and how much I eat and it passes when my sinus trouble subsides.

Thanks Kim.  I'll be careful.  If they do have to take a small amount out, then they said they could put it back in when my sinus's are back under control.

Sinus problems throw me into a tailspin. Thats how I ended up getting an unfill...  be careful and don't allow that tightness to cause you to PB repeatedly causing more swelling and more pbing resulting in an unfill.  I know that sounds crazy, but you are only 13 lbs away from goal. I want this so badly for you!!!  Make sure you warm up that band in the morning and stay plenty hydrated.  Drink up band sister!

Thanks Tiff! I spoke with my doctors office yesterday.  We're giving this till tomorrow and if my sinus's are still bad, we will be taking out a small amount.  The restriction has just been too much by the end of the day yesterday.  I couldn't eat a few bites w/out PB'ing.

Had some tea this morning and then a protein shake.  I'll start trying mushies tonight, and some solids tomorrow.  If I'm still not able to get enough in or I'm PB'ing, they are going to get me in tomorrow afternoon for a small unfill.  I just hate the thought of taking any of my precious fill out.

But I just gave advice to another FB post that it's better to be able to get the tiny unfill and be able to eat the correct foods than take the risks of our current situation.  D@#$  it!  I hate it when I'm throwing my own words back in my face!

I'm with you all the way on that one.

Having been in here and done this, I'm going to caution you. When they give you that little unfill, it might be a tad more than you were expecting. If your band is under pressure, more will come gushing out in to the syringe than you might want. I was thinking .5 cc, the doc said 4cc,  I was like NOT  A FREAKING CHANCE...we actually sat and negotiated and settled on 1.5 but when he stuck the port, 2 cc came free flowing out on their own. It was that tight.  Ugh  I was miserable.

And after, it was like I had been given free reign and could eat anything I wanted. I was like a kid in the BBQ shack.. I mean candy shop. I was an eating machine. So watch yourself. I ended up gaining 12 lbs before I realized what had happened. So please, please be diligent and cautious with your eating when/if this unfill happens. Learn from my set back!
