Feel horrible. Can't exercise and must drink a lot of liquids.
Don't really feel like eating either.

Any advice or help is more than welcomed!!!

Just do as you would do if you didn't have the band. Drink lots, sleep lots, take OTC meds as appropriate and forget about food if you are not up to eating!

Do be careful, though.  Being unwell can make your band feel tighter.

Feel better soon!

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

Kate:
Thanks for the good advice.
I'm going to have some tea and go back into bed right now!
I've been up too long today...

Heating pad and a comfy bed sound about right...

Best to you!!!

Thanks. I'm headed to bed now, and hopefully my coughing won't keep me up all night like it did last night!
I finally had to break down and eat some real food bc I was just getting too hungry on all the liquids. I tried some chicken meatballs and diced tomatoes. But it just didn't go down all that well, so I like the idea of the shakes for a couple of days!

Best.

Hope you're sleeping well rather than reading this right after I post it.

I was pretty sick with the cold/flu in January.  With extra sinus problems and drainage, I pretty much gave up on eating anything solid.  Focused on sipping liquids.  My NUT suggested I get some protein drinks in since I was not really able to eat.  So it was pretty much WATER, soup, WATER, protein drink, WATER, juice, and did I mention getting in enough WATER?

Sure hope you're feeling better soon.
Take care,
Amy

Thanks for reminding me about the shakes. I'm going to give that a try tomorrow. The solid food I tried didn't go down very well and I didn't enjoy it one bit!
I'm about floating away with all my tea drinking....

Best -

Bless your heart!- Been there, done that, still just now feeling better.  In addition to what's already been said, try a little chicken soup if you can and stay hydrated.  I don't usually drink juice, but when I was really sick, I tried a combination of mango & grape that was very satisfying.  Extra carbs, yes, but it's only for a few days.  Just my thoughts...

I love that little sleeping smiley! That's where I belong right now for sure!!

I had some beef broth today, but I think you are right about chicken soup. There is just more comfort quotient in it!

All the best!
