Thanks so much, you know the water would have been the first thing I would have reached for.  I hope this does not happen in public, kinda hard to make the Chicken dance look cool.

**Do everything you can to be successful.
**Embrace this opportunity to change what hasn't worked in the past.
**Learn from yourself, because the best way to improve is by being honest about your own experiences.
**Keep a journal.  Reason?  Read above!
**Be positive.  Fantasize about how you want to be, and what you want to do.
**Follow up with your surgeon.  If all is well, keep it that way.  If something is wrong, find out why.

I plan on doing all of those things and more!  I am going to learn  from my past as well.  Throwing the fad diets out of the window.  I can always diet with help (pills, etc.) and I am hoping this time I can get it off and keep it off.  With the pills eventually they stop working or you must stop taking them.  I am hoping with the band I can begin to lose and keep it off.  Thanks for responding.

I was nervous before surgery. My Dr did give me an anti anxiety pill for the night before and the morning of.
I had no appetite for about a week and then BAM I was starving!! Until I got a few fills in, I would joke that my Dr was starving the weight off of me. LOL
I felt no pain at my first fill. Now on a few subsequent ones I felt a little pinch. Restriction for me was when I was finally FULL on my Dr's recommended amount of food allowed, 4 oz be weight. For 4 hours. I think it was around fill #4.
My "perfect" restriction didn't  stay perfect. LOL It got too tight, then too loose, then too tight again, due to stress, on my part. So now I stay on the looser side, just in case.
I have had NO complications.
I've had many NSV's. The biggest ones are planning, hosting and LOVING my H.S. reunion, wearing a dress with high heels to a Christmas party, skydiving.
Good luck!!!

I am hoping anxiety does not get the best of me.  I play this scenario in my head where I do everything to get ready and then chicken out on surgery day.  YIKES!  I can't wait to enjoy shopping again.  Crossing my fingers that the shopping does not get out of hand.

I would tell you that no two people are the same. Everyone's journey is unique. You can not compare yourself to others. If you do you will only make yourself crazy.

As you go thru the liquid diet phase pre-op I found day 3 to be the hardest. Just remember that the easier the pre-op is for you the easier post-op liquids will be. For a week or so after surgery you will ask yourself "what did I do?!" we all go thru it & it's perfectly normal. That feeling will pass! If you have gas pain after surgery remember that walking, gas x & a heating pad work wonders. Above all, remember you are not in this alone in this.

Two years later I shake my head & wonder why I didn't do it sooner. 132 lbs loss & no longer on any medications. Exercise is a luxery for me & I enjoy every minute of it!

Congrats on your success and thanks for responding.  No, won't compare myself to anyone---never have, never will.  OK making a mental note on day 3 be prepared for the munch monster.  I am planning on being very busy during the liquid diet.  However, food is everywhere.   I am going to look through those shakes to the goal.
