What kind of issues did you have prior to your surgery, and how have they changed (improved? resolved?) Here are mine:

OSTEOARTHRITIS - impossible to cure. Once bones are ground down, the only option is replacement. But they HAVE greatly, greatly improved.

APNEA - GONE

EDEMA - GONE

HIGH BP - GONE

HIGH CHOLESTEROL - GONE

IBS - GONE

TYPE 2 DIABETES - was taking 2 insulins and 2 oral meds a day. Blood glucose levels (daily and A1C) completely normal.

DEPRESSION - much, much improved, unless I lost my f*ckng job! Most likely will improve if and when I get a new one.

"URGE INCONTINENCE" - GONE

RECURRENT YEAST INFECTIONS - haven;'t had ONE since surgery

CLUSTER/TENSION HEADACHES - gone from about 1 a month to 1 every 6 months (if that)

Banded 10 years & maintaining my weight loss!! Any questions, message me.

High blood pressure was my only co-morbidity. It is still slightly high (family trait) but my meds have been halved.

Regular headaches now very rare - I believe that is not the weight loss per se but the fact that I don't over-indulge in carbs. I have a few days of going mad on carbs and I get headaches again!

Stress incontinence and urgency - only ever minor but now totally gone.

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

My only co-morbid was apnea which is now gone!

But other issues were leading to restricted mobility, namely:  Plantar faciatis (sp?), heel spurs, knee pain and poor balance.

Does bad attitude count?  I'm much happier and nicer than I was before.

I was one of those rare overweight people who had no co-morbidity. But, I can sleep easier on my side, used to get numb on whichever side I was on. Have way more energy doing everything. Have an easier time talking to strangers. More outgoing.
