Actually, everything about my post was deliberate and carefully written to get the attention of pre-ops.  Sadly - and predictably, which is what I was going for - people will project the admonitions of the middle section and turn them on themselves, when in fact the plain meaning of my words is that IF you judge yourself to have these traits, then you shouldn't have the DS.  I didn't say if you don't pick the DS, then you have these traits - that's you and dozens of others turning my words against you.

But I knew you'd likely do that.  That's why I used those words.  It gets people to read and respond - and to REMEMBER the information about the DS.

So thank you, but no, I'll not change my posting style, and I'll come over here any time I feel like doing so and make similar posts.  And here's why: http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/DS/3484967/Who-benefited-f rom-DSers-posting-on-other-forums/

okay I get it. I should've read all the responses from this same post on the main board before I replied.   This post was intended to stir things up and I fell right for it.  If anyone takes offense at the *intentional* tone, they are rebuked for just being jealous and they shouldnt get upset since it was intended for newbies.   I understand now why the vets stayed away from this post because its the same song, 2nd verse (3rd,4th as well?)

"Can't we all just get along?...".

You still don't seem to understand the difference between saying your surgery sucks (and statistically, it does) and saying you suck - funny how so many of you chose to read it that way.  But oh well.  So long as the pre-ops learn about all their options, and the thread was EXPRESSLY indicated as not being for you, I don't care how you react to the post.

Until all bariatric programs and surgeons teach unbiased information about all of the surgical options, no, I think was won't be able to "get along" without these kinds of posts.  As long as we are still getting posts like the one last night on the VSG board from a fresh post-op wailing about having never heard of the DS, these posts will continue to be necessary.

OK, I've wasted a few hours reading all the forums regarding this.   Where are all the pre ops?  I would like to know how many are going to reconsider their surgery choice now?    Well I don't really want to know, I have to go shopping.   Diana, you have a brilliant mind.  You sound like a real "ball buster".  I would love to have you as my attorney .

Personally, I've received two PMs asking for help since this begain yesterday.  I don't know whether others (the Good Cops) got some too.  Probably, most of them are being good and considerate posters and are READING about the DS and thinking about it before they post.

And some of them are probably changing their names, so those of you who were helping them get a different surgery won't know they've defected.

I only work for professional inventors, sorry.  Except when I am helping DSers get insurance approval.
