Anyone Familiar with Quizno's Salad? How much I can eat

Hi - I just had my first fill Monday 5 cc's in a 10 cc band - and I don't feel any difference from when I had no restriction after surgery...for example, I can eat a small Quizno's salad with a scoop of tuna (some tomatoes & onion) using iceberg lettuce with no problem, and not be overstuffed or barely full?!?  I'm going to start bringing my own lunches next week - have  to go to store tomorrow and get some staples (so I can control the mayo/etc in what I eat) but I feel like that's a LOT to not be full...wondered what your thoughts were...?

P.S.  I am full I've noticed as I've gotten up at work and walked around - probably moreso than I should be, but when I was eating, there was no like "stop" point for me that I could tell...hmmm...trial and error?

Yep -- that is why I don't eat to 'feel full'anymore --- because about 15 minutes after I finish, my body recognizes that it got food ---

I weigh/measure ---- in the case of this salad, I would guess that the tuna is probably from a scooper that is 4 ounces ---- I would have eaten most of that -- and since I can't eat lettuce, leave the rest.

Thanks Kath.  Yeah, I ate most of the lettuce with it so next time I will forego some of that and eat the protein portion...gonna bring my own next week, though (tuna & crackers that type of thing) so will be able to better control the size).  Guess it's all trial and error...seems so difficult at times, but am determined that this is gonna work!  Thanks for your advise!  I also need to get better about looking at some of the samples the NUT gave me and following their advice...I've been kinda lazy on that and really shouldn't be...how  many cc's do you have in your band at this time?

I don't know how much is in my band -- except to say that it is 'enough' -- probably about 7 or 8 cc in an 11cc band.

I don't keep track --- which is funny because I am so 'anal' about other things -- LOL

As far as eating out goes, I usually get whatever I am served, and I cut it in 1/2 on the plate -- or move 1/2 of it to the side -- and I eat (slowly and thoughtfully) --- and try to wait a few minutes to see if I really need any more of it ----- usually not.

It is amazing how 'over-served' we are when we eat in restaurants.

I felt that way, too - hungry, but kept my calories really low while on the liquid phase of the diet.  I'm still trying to stay "low' as the weight loss has slowed (I also need to exercise, just no energy...thought getting off diet sodas & sugar would help that, but nope - depression is NOT a good thing)! but it's all about learning, I guess.  It's amazing how good a salad can be when you have just liquids and soft foods for so long...it's like I would NEVER had chosen a salad, or to eat a tomato by itself but dang, do they taste good when you relax your taste from the sugars and all the carbs and give yourself that break for a while! :)  good luck to you!

Hi, I have notice for me that I don't have a stopping point either, although I don't have my fill yet till next friday...
I find that about an hour or so later, after I eat,  I do get that full stuff feeling... Don't know if this is normal.. I will ask.  I have been  on  a protein diet for now... I do eat some veggies and fruit...
