Well hello there! Thanks to everyone who sent me messages! I have lost 53 POUNDS since 10/12/10!!!

I FINALLY got restriction! I have 9cc in a 11cc band. I have been really strick with myself so far! I only got restriction a week ago!

I have been away from this sight because of all of the negative feedback and posts. I found it very discouraging in the beginning of my journey. I did not have great luck in my support group either because I was the ONLY bander!

I follow a very strick diet! I quit my job of 5 years to get a new job that is more active! No more sitting at a desk! This is helping tremendously!!!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my band!!! This was the BEST thing I EVER did for myself! Even with the ups and downs...NO REGRETS!!!!!

Beef jerky and protein bars have been the secret to my success! They get me through the day! Once a week I crave a Pepsi and I have one! I let it go a little flat first. If I want ice cream...I have one scoop! I have learned not to deprive myself! I just have a TINY bit! I wanted a snickers REALLY bad about 2 weeks go.....I took 1 bite and that was enough! If I deprived myself...I would have eaten the whole thing!

With the band...you don't have to stop enjoying life...just in MAJOR moderation!

I could not be more happy with my life!!!

And Pic #2 is a week before surgery!!

Good to hear you're doing well. You look great.  I'm with you in regards to the band, I too love my band and have had no regrets. I had to go see my PCP a couple of weeks a go, he asked me if I had to do it again (lapband surgery), would I, and of coarse my response was "in a heartbeat.  I LOVE  MY BAND, and thank God everyday for it.  So glad you're back.

It's so good to see you back on this forum!  Please don't let the negative posters get to you.  They come and go but for the most part those of us who try to be positive and supportive are still here so you're not depriving the negative nelly's you're depriving those of us that get motivation from sharing our success with the band.  We need to hear from you so we can celebrate together the many good things that can happen through WLS.

You're doing great and look wonderful!

Best~
