It has been 2 years for me, and I still have unresolved sleep apnea, and I still wear the pesky CPAP.   I know I still have it because if I don't use it the night before, I am a major sloth the next day, and when I do use it I am very energic.   (I was dating briefly in Dec-Jan., and I didn't wear my cpap bec I am embarrased and he did say that I snore lightly.)

My cholesterol levels goes up and down.

Apparently I still have diabetes per my PCP but very well controlled thanks to metformin (reduced dosage) because I was just dx'ed with yeast infection Monday.

246 in Dec 2008 before banded 1/28/09 at 215 lbs, band crapped 9/09 at 170 lbs and struggled with it and regained to 203 revised to bypass on 8/1/11 and am very happy.

It's not a comorbidity because no one dies of it, but I do still have osteoarthritis in my knees. THAT will never go away, no matter what my weight is.

Banded 10 years & maintaining my weight loss!! Any questions, message me.

Hi Cheryl, I still have mild high blood pressure (135/85) with meds, but not taking one of the really aggresive medications either.  My sleep apnea, high cholesterol and type 2 diabetes are resolved.
You can snore and not have apnea, so maybe another sleep study is warranted to find out if you still have it??

My Type 2 Diabetes has been resolved (if it ever really does) and I am so thankful for that!!  I also no longer take BP meds, those were my two co-morbidities.  Keep working at it Cheryl, hopefully yours will be gone also!!

My sleep apnea is gone ...but I had joined a forum about it and one of the things that people mentioned was a surgical fix for sleep apnea... Cheryl... IF yours is NOT caused by extra weight, since I see your current is 173 (nice) there may be some option for you...
??   maybe something to consider...I never minded the mask, because I felt soooo much better in themorning....
my hgb a1c went from 7 to 5.1   Depending on what I eat, my cholesterol is better.
I am still taking my meds for them, but hopefully not much longer....

Cheryl,

I no longer have high blood pressure and am off of meds for that.

My cholesterol has improved to the point where I have the choice of staying on a low dose of Lipitor as a preventative or stop taking it altogether. I have stopped taking it.

I used to snore quite heavily, although my sleep apnea test came back normal. My husband reports that I only snore now if I have a cold.

My menstrual cycle, which used to be all over the map, with complications due to polycystic ovarian syndrome, has regulated for the first time in probably 20 years.
