Bra questions

Hello

After losing 120+ lbs I figure it's time for new undergarments...I know, I know what was I waiting for!!!  Anyway I was thinking I would like to get some nice bras and I would like to get myself sized.  So my questions are....

What are the nice bras???  What brands should I get?  Where should I go???

Also when you are getting sized for a bra do I have to take my shirt off???  I'm a little embarrassed of my saggy skin.  Would they judge me???  What do they do to size you?

Your just now getting new undergarments? Wow I dont think I could wait that long before getting new one.

Because I'm still losing the weight I go to Lane Bryant and they size me there so I know exactly what size to get.

No I didnt have to take my shirt off or my old bra, and they have really good supportive bras there.

If your too small for Lane Bryant now you can go to Victoria Secret they size there also.

PM JeanM. She is THE expert! Not only has she gone through weight loss, she is actually employed as a bra fitter (or she was, not sure!). She is really good about telling you what to go for!

Kate

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

I have gotten several new bras at Victoria Secret. They will fit you right over your clothes. The girls there were SUPER nice and seem genuinely excited for me when I told them about my weight loss and that i was getting my first ever VS bras Have fun and Congrats!

Believe it or not, Fashion Bug has a great selection and they have great deals. I just bought 2 bras and paid 30.00 :) Then got a coupon for 1/2 off my next bra....

Jean has great tips on finding your size and it works...
The brand I have had the most success with is Wacoal...I know they are expensive but I always buy them on sale at Nordstrom or the Nordstrom Rack (their clearance outlet) for about half the normal price.  I've purchased 2 new ones since my surgery for about $25 each on sale and they fit great.  I have one left from my post-hysterectomy celebration when I purchased 4 bras and 8 matching panties...still have all the panties and the one pink bra (body suede) which is in decent shape.  They cost more, but last a long time.

I also like Bali for my boob type...they make a racer back style that fits me well.  Currently I am a 38 DD down from a 40 DD....
