Do you ever worry that something will happen and you'll regain the weight?

Many years ago I lost nearly 100lbs without the aid of wls. I was SO ****y about it. I thought my obesity was cured and I would never have a weight problem again. It's kind of funny and sad now. I had so much learning to do! It's amazing what time and a total regain do to you.

I wouldn't say I'm constantly fretting over whether I will regain or not, but the though is always rattling around the back of my mind. The further out I get the more tempting it is to take my band for granted and not think it's anything special. Sometimes I try to on purpose remind myself of what a help my band is to me. Without it I am certain I would regain.

If anything happened to my band  and replacing it wasn't a good option I would go with one of the other surgeries.

I was almost at goal when I started having problems with my band...that's when the fills/unfills started.  Then after 2 1/2 years and 2 band slips I had to be completely unfilled and I've gained 30 pounds.  I was just approved for a sleeve revision because I know that without a WLS I cannot keep this weight off.  I was the model bandster, I followed every rule which is why I lost so quickly, but I still had 2 slips and once I didn't have my tool the weight started coming back on.

Good luck to anyone who can keep the weight off without their tool.  I know I can't.
