Frustrated and lost all motivation!
Was down to 171 (originally 272), had a band slip (2nd time) and am back up to 228.
They are afraid to overfill my band, yet I KNOW I don't have adiquate restriction.  I am SOOOO close but just not quite enough.  I am currently at 6.5.

Just venting........thanks for listening.

You're  welcome.   Sorry things are not going so great.  Unfortunately it's easy to become frustrated and lose our motivation.  I am new to the band but certainly know what it's like to be frustrated or have low motivation.   I struggle with motivation all the time, AND I get frustrated with myself a lot!   No matter what the reason.   Just don't give up.  Stick to the basics that you know works.  It's awful when our food is out of control cause it seeps into every aspect of our lives.  At least it does for me.  You lost a LOT of weight and you can do it again.  I wish you the best.

I can totally relate. I had my band removed last April and put back in in October. I was down to about 170 and am now 210. Have very little restriction and am getting very bummed out. I am confident that you and I can do it again! Just need to get our heads on straight and use the band as a tool. I lost 70 lbs. relatively easily and now it's a lot different. It is difficult but I believe we can do it. Don't get down on yourself and maybe keep a food diary, that helped me a lot before. Good luck!

Emma --- I can hear how frustrated you are.

For me, it helps to 'act as if' ---- act as if I have a band
that means
1.  no drinking while eating -- even if I can -- waiting an hour
2.  eating 3 meals and 2 snacks a day as planned   -- weigh and measure my food and eat it.  The next food is never more than 2 or 3 hours away - and I need fluid between meals
3.  drink, drink, drink between meals --- after an hour, I have to drink 24 ounces before I am 'allowed' to have more food ---- it is amazing how much that distracts me from eating again

You can do these things with or without good restriction -- it might be harder, but it can be done.
If you choose, log your food --- otherwise, just stick with good/healthy choices.

You can do this --- you can -- you know you can!!!

I am just trying to work myself out of a funk I have been in. Check out my topic from a few days ago. It is amazing how much better you can feel in just a few days if you are ready to. I have never had a band slip but I feel for you. Hopefully you can find some help to move you forward here. Good Luck!
