How much food can you eat at a sitting?

This is EXACTLY how I feel right now!! I have an office visit/fill appointment scheduled for tomorrow and I can't decide whether or not I want a fill. I have been sticking to my pre measured amounts and doing ok. Hard to make myself stop eating though. I feel like I want more restriction... but I am afraid of getting too tight so I might just keep working with what I have right now.
Me too, me too :) I was feeling the exact same way this weekend when I was trying to decide whether or not I needed a fill. On my previous visit, he didnt want to give me a fill because I met his "green zone" limits: (satisfied for 3-4 hrs on 1 cup food, losing weight, no pb/stuck issues) but the difference this time around is that I *could* eat more food. Especially if I was watching tv while eating.

So thats what I told him so he took a took a look at my pouch under floroscopy and said "yep, you can be tweaked a bit!" as he watched the barium drain out and added a whole cc to my band. (and whew its NOT too tight).

5.0 cc in a 10cc lapband  (four  fills) 1 unfill of .5cc  on 5/24/2011.
.5 fill  March 2012. unfill of .25cc May 2012.  Unfill of .5cc June 2014.

Still with my lapband with no plans for revision. Band working well since

I WISH he did fills under fluoro... but he doesn't. He is really good about discussing how things are going so I am sure we will figure it out tomorrow.

I fall within the green zone for sure... but on the loose end. I said going into this after port replacement I wanted to stay looser to avoid problems... so I need to just keep pep talking myself as to WHY I am staying looser.

I never get fills under fluroro - my doc gives two reasons. Firstly that any unnecessary exposure to XRays is undesirable but secondly that the tissue under the band is living tissue and so does not stay stable. So the moment it is seen under fluoro is just that - the one moment. Two hours later, it may be a totally different story.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

Thanks for sharing that post - I just had my fill on Monday from 0 to 5 cc's in a 10 cc band...I am not sure just yet what I can "eat" comfortably - I don't think I am eating a lot in fact, I believe I need more calories than I am getting, but I need to get to the store and get some things in stock...I am alone right now so cooking for me is not a pleasure - any ideas anyone might have, would be great (need to post this for others in this predicament, I think)!  - I believe I will go for another fill when the next 6 weeks comes and will just have to see how my body responds.  What you are eating sounds pretty "normal" to me and sounds really good - thanks for sharing again!

I eat about 3-4oz protein and 1/4-1/2 cup of veggies. (depends on the veggie) Last night I skipped the veggie and ate 4oz of fish. I ended up snacking on almonds about an hour later. Partly due to hunger, partly due to head hunger.

Idealy I think is supposed to be 2-3oz of dense protein [or 3/4cup] and 1/4cup veggies. At least that is why I shoot for.

I am still figuring it out.

I feel like I don't even know real/head hunger differences anymore. Consider that last week my stomach was upset, I left for work, and realized at 6:30 I hadn't eaten all day. How did I feel? Fine, other than the fact that I was still nauseaous and I was very tight (worse then ever actually). I mean, how can someone go 18 some odd hours without eating and not have physical effects. I don't know but I do. I finally got some toast in around 7:30ish and then my nauseau disappeard and my band opened and I ate dinner, plus a snack, plus some breakfast I missed all in 3-4 hours. Now, of course, this isn't normal for me but still...

I don't think I have ever had restriction other than in the first 2-3 stages of food. How does one KNOW one is restricted?

I have a 10cc band and have more than 10cc in it.  I remember that it took me several fills to get that not hungry feeling after a few hours after eating. I think even up to 9 cc before I felt that I had really good restriction.  It may take you several fills to be able to eat and not feel hungry for several hours.  That is OK.  However, there were days that I would wake up and feel very tight with just a small amount of fluid in my band and other days when I seemed to have a lot in my band and was starving all day.  Now I eat about 1 cup to 1 1/2 cups of food, what my doc said would be normal for me, and I feel OK with it.  The problem is that I am not eating good foods, like no or little protein and so on although I am working on this with all my might.  Just eat when you fill hungry and maybe even keep track of how long it takes you to get hungry after you eat that will help you see when you are due for another fill.  The idea is to eat 1 to 1 1/2 cup of your entire meal and then be satisfied, not necessarily full, but satisfied for 3-4 hours after eating.
