A hilarious NSV
You reminded me...a year or so ago, I had an x-ray for something unrelated to my band, but since I had put AGB surgery on my patient info form as part of my medical history, the x-ray tech read it and said, "So, why are you going to have band surgery? You're not obese."
After I finished laughing, I told her why that comment tickled me. I don't think she understood the humor in the situation. She gave me a kind of blank look and said, "Well, I just wouldn't have thought you had ever needed weight loss surgery."
So I said, "Thank you! Bless you!" and she said, "Well, OK, that's nice, now can you lie on your left side for me?"

I think that's just great Jean. I haven't gotten to get away from the babies long enough to log on my computer to give you my email, and private messages I can only send from my pc so.... my email is [email protected]. I appreciate the info! Love to hear the NSV's as well. I have to tell you I think im in a sort of denial as to how big i've allowed myself to get. I don't feel this big until I pass a mirror or see a picture. Not that I feel like I am in shape in any sense of the phrase. I noticed this morning that im so fat that my neck sweats during the night. I almost feel helpless and hope that this process is my saving grace.
Ann,
I know what you mean. When I was obese, I didn't see my body when I looked in the mirror. I saw my (fat) face, but somehow blocked out the rest of the image. It was only when I saw photographs of me that I could see how big I was.
I'll put you on the newsletter mailing list. The next issue mails tomorrow, Thursday 2/10/11.
