Hi I may be new here, but not so new to surgery (2008). Wish I had found this place and used it then. I think it would have helped keep me motivated and answered a lot of questions for me. Glad to be a part of the family.

Hey- I'm  2008 too. Where are you in your journey?   Goal yet?  if so, I may not like you very much....

Just kidding!! sort of.  This really is a good group of people. there are those few negative nellys but they are far outnumbered by the pollyanna's.  Welcome to our little club. These folks have been my major support system for nutrtion and exercise from day one. I'm glad you found us.

Thank you for the welcome. After I posted, I realized that my surgery was early in 2009 and I'm no where near my goal. Too many ups and downs emotionally and not enough exercise. I wish I had found this site earlier. I think it would have helped a great deal. The closest support group is an hour away and my only access to computer is at work. I try to get on some while there, but may need to come in early or stay later so I can really utilize the site. I can use all support I can get. I had a small adjustment last month, but I still don't feel any restrictions when eating. I hate to get another because I don't have insurance now and it's not in my budget. I do eat healthier foods and not as much, but don't seem to be losing lots. I've stepped up my exercise some, but I need to do more and drink more. I know what to do, just don't. I need to change thoughts in my head. Since I'm not too computer literate, I have some uncertainty regarding posting and putting information and pictures on.  Probably didn't need to go on and on, but you seemed to have a little humor in your response and I liked that. Thanks again. gann

Welcome! Liki any public board, you will find there are certain posts to avoid but this is for the most part a really supportive and friendly board.

Thanks for warm welcome. I probably should have been close to goal weight by now, but I've had lots of ups and downs this past year. Start weight was 330 and have lost 70 and then I started to gain again after I had fill adjusted. Just had it tightened yesterday and hope to be back on track. My husband died suddenly in June and I sold the house we had built and moved for first time in 35 years. I let all those feelings affect my food and now it's time for me to take care of myself. Now maybe I can share some of myself instead of turning to food.
