Yep, just like the others said, you will need an unfill and soon. I had the same issue this November and no amount of liquids, mushies, etc. made it better. I developed the problem after a bout with bronchitis. My stoma was irritated, swollen and I required a 2 cc unfill for 6 weeks to get everything settled down. I am just now back to nearly my previous fill level. My Dr. said if I were to develop reflux and acid like that again, to not wait so long.

Trust me.  It's not going to get better on it's own.  Call your surgeon tomorrow.  If you are having reflux, regurgitating ,etc. you are damaging your esophagus.  Take care before you do permanent damage.  You will probably need a slight unfill and OTC Omexiprole or Prilosec to heal the irritation that's causing the swelling.

Please don't wait.

I agree with the others on the unfill.

Do you have a med for nausea for times when you are nauseated?  I have Zofran ODT ( oral dissolving tab ) It's nice to know I have it in case I get nauseated to try and prevent vomiting.  Wouldn't really help for a stuck episode etc...
Let us know what you find out tomorrow!

u might want to luck up side effects of cipro. I personally will never take it again because of the side effects. the only reason dr.s give it out is because the drug co gives them money to prescribe it because they have an excess because of anthrax scares.

I'd phone your doc a.s.a.p.. If it gets hard to get fluids down, you mustn't wait.  Even if it turns out to be all due to your travelling, different food, anti bios etc. - you still need to deal with the present.

You have already tried waiting this out. Time to deal with it!

I'd go for a small unfill.

I wrote yesterday about my severe symtoms like you.  Went to my surgeons and she said I needed and unfill.  Now I feel great!  It's so worth it.  Hope you feel better soon.

what everyone else said but remember, when you fly, your band tightens up.  It remains tight for a day or so because of the pressure differences.  At least that's what the Ethicon (Realize band) that I work with told me.  I would call your surgeon.  It sounds like it could be a number of things but honestly a slight unfill and letting your stoma relax will probably do the trick.  You were in air 4 times in less than 2 weeks... that's a lot.
Take care and let us know what you decide!

all the weight has been lost post-op..I LOVE MY BAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

highest weight: 333 pounds (I know I gained after my last "weigh in" in the doctors office so probably it's more like 340 pounds)
current weight: 151 pounds (7/12/11)
I've been at goal (165 pounds) for 6 months now and now on maintence.  I tend to go up and down depending on time of the month and such!
