Just wondering what are some of your slide foods?

For my, my slider foods are all things I shouldn't be eating in the first place! Cookies, chips, candy... all those things easily go right through my band and I can eat way too many if I let myself.  Because I know this, though, I avoid those foods and stick to things I know will fill me up.  Unlike a lot of people on here, salad is NOT a slider food for me.  Salad and lettuce fill me up quickly so, if I add some salad to my protein, I am good to go for at least 4 hours and usually it's my body needing food, not actual hunger that sends me to eat again.

Slider foods would be the same for everyone I would think.  Anything that doesn't stay in our pouches.  Even healthy things can be slider foods such as yogurt, cott cheese, soups, even juices or any liquid.  That's why my dr says no to juices, eat the fruit instead.  It will stay in your pouch.

Slider foods are not the same for everyone.  As my post states, most people find salad (specifically the lettuce portion) to be a slider food. Not me! A bowl of salad can fll my pouch and stays there.  Ice cream is another debateable food.  For some it is absolutely a slider, for others the cold causes their band to become extremely tight and they cannot eat but 1-2 bites.  Granted, most liquids (such as juice and broths) are going to be sliders.  But, not everyone has to same issues with the same foods.  We are all different and each of us needs to find which foods work with our bands and which work against them. That being said, always do stick to your Dr or Nut's specific eating plan for you.

Popcorn and Ice-cream are my slider foods - avoid them.
