How can this be possible???

I started Weigh****chers at work last Monday (1/31) and in doing so I put my scale away, planning to not use it for the next few weeks at least. I wanted to give WW a chance and only weigh once a week at the meetings.  5 days later my will broke and the anxiety of not knowing what I was weighing on MY scale got to me. I weighed this morning.

Down 1.8 lbs from 5 days ago??? What? That's not even possible! I've been eating MORE than I should. I've been eating more than I have in months because fruit is zero points. And I've been using my 31 daily points and more (dipping into the bonus weekly ones.) And on top of that I've been sick with flu-lite for the past week and haven't exercised one minute.  So it makes completely no sense whatsoever.

Well...ok, I guess I can't complain but I'm just really confused.

I have no idea of any science behind this- there may be none at all!  But lots of people report that by upping calories (not too much, obviously!) they lose better!

I did WW one many years ago and their points then added up to about 1200 cals a day;  that is the amount I aimed for all the time i was losing.

Eating heathy, fiber-filled foods --- and losing weight --- a miracle, indeed.

Some of that might be water weight --- and de-hydration from being sick, so keep being accountable  --- but is it not surprising that increasing your calories with healthy food can lead to weight loss.

 Haha, yeah, I know ;)

Don't think I'm dehydrated cause I've been drinking as much as always, or more, doing the whole "fluids" thing with the bad cold. But being sick hasn't suppressed my appetite so it seems this first week is going to be pretty typical except for my recent fill possibly kicking in and limiting me. I feel like a freak for needing all my points.

Hopefully I'll have nothing but continued good news to report.
