Barrett's esophagus
Surgery has been postponed because I had to be seen by a specialist for possible Barrett's.
Barrett's esophagus is a condition in which the color and composition of the cells lining your lower esophagus change, usually because of repeated exposure to stomach acid.
Barrett's esophagus is most often diagnosed in people who have long-term gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) -- a chronic regurgitation of acid from the stomach into the lower esophagus. Only a small percentage of people with GERD will develop Barrett's esophagus. Information from the Mayo Clinic!
Biopics were taken yesterday and I have a follow up with the specialist in March.

I am so sorry. But at least this has been diagnosed and so your docs can start to treat you if that proves to be necessary.
I think one of our regular posters WasaBubbleButt has this - might be wrong - it could just be that she knows a lot about it. She may well chip in to tell you her story. If not, i believe she is very helpful to people who PM her.
Does it mean no wls ever?
