Hubby and I originally pinky swore that we weren't going to have children. That's equivalent of signing in blood before god himself in our house. Well, a few years back we admitted that it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if we had a baby. And then we upgraded to what if we really really did this.... Well now that we are trying with no results, I'm sort of torn.

But I'm of that thought that if it was meant to be, it will happen. If not, then we will spoil our nieces and nephews rotten. We will call our carpool PTA friends from our catamaran in Rome to rub our wonderful life in their noses. It won't be the end of the world by any means.

You are a woman after my own heart.  I think I love you Miss. Tiff!

Ah Shucks!  All this love and attention is going to go to my head.  I'm going to have to start a fan club for traveling bandster women who are conflicted maternally. Our first support group is going to take place in Tulum Mexico. Second Cabana on the Left. You can't miss it. I'll be the one in the hammock with the Pina Colada in hand

Tiff... our lives mirror each other in A LOT of ways. I am 34, married 9 years, and we are trying to get pregnant as well. I love your attitude about it. I go back and forth depending on the week as well. We have been playing and traveling A LOT too. But it was fun!!! Still is. ;)

Hi,my real name is Magdalena and I was born and raised in Germany and now live in the US for the last 45 years.I am also an US citizen.I owned and operated a German Restaurant right in front of the gate of Ft Knox Ky and served the Soldiers lots of good food.
I am now 65 years old and sold the Restaurant and retired and gained lots of weight :(
My husband died 8 years ago,so that makes me a  widow.
I have a little poodle he is my friend and companion and he is a little rascal,so much joy.
I come every day to read most of the messages people write and have  learned so much.
I was banded 3 weeks ago and will get my first fill on the 23rd of Jan.I am looking forward to that.
Nice to meet you all.....

that appetite does come back with a vengeance doesn't it. careful!  And please don't get discouraged if you find that you gain a lb or 4 before your first fill or even after. It's very common. Just know that It takes time to build up to that restriction.... You'll get there!

Welcome, Magdalena!

My father had a business partner in the 1960's who was German, and his daughter was my favorite babysitter. She was very strict but so good to me. Now I wish I had paid more attention and learned some German from her!

What is your rascal poodle's name?

Hi Jean,,my little poodles name is Teddy and he will be 3 years old in May.He loves to fallow any ones heels and when they turn around to say hi to him he runs away, but as soon as they start walking again he will nip there heels again,he don't bite just nip at the heels very lightly.
He is a little rascal..so much fun and joy.
Ohh yes Germans are very strict people, specially the older generations including me:)
the younger generation has changed some now.I guess it was because we were raised that way after the war.
