So disappointed in Dr Owens and his Orange Office (go to Rancho much better)

I need to find a new doctor to work with regarding my fills. Paid Dr Owens about $16000 cash in the last two years and have gotten nothing out of it except pain......Three complete unfills (amazing how everything worked great until after the year guarantee was over and then down hill from there). Had a visit yesterday at the Orange Office and paid cash and low and behold (was told yesterday by one of the girls that takes the cash that I had 7 days to come back if any problems) went back in today and had to pay again. They know you have to use them to get an unfill and if you have a slipped stomach what else can you do....so got taken to the cleaners for about $400 for 2 visits. Actually met a women there yesterday that had a fill in 11/2008 (same month and year as I) that was having the same exact problems and cash too). Wonder if he just wasn't doing the surgeries well then (he had all those back problems). If you need to see him you will save bucks going to the Rancho Office (don't have to pay Chapman Hospital extra money) and the girls there are really nice..
Anyway...anyone know any doctor in So Cal area that will do fills on someone that they did not operate on.....since I just had my third stomach slip may be awhile and who knows may not be able to do again...just need to see a good doctor and have them check me out.....
Really am disappointed. I had a bad feeling in my gut when they rushed me through for surgery (less than two weeks from date I was in office) but then I guess they liked the cash!.....Please I know I am not the only one having these problems....beware when you use Dr Owens. Make sure that you are fine before your one year is up (or at least make sure your insurance will cover you). I am most disappointed in myself for throwing away money when my gut was telling me to be careful....and I didn't do enough checking, should have been more thorough....

Heck yeah! I'd go to Mexico. I wouldn't go to TJ but there are four doctors that I know of in Mexicali that would do your fills under fluoro for $75.00.
I'm drawing a total blank at one of the banded regs that goes there. He had his surgery done in the states but for some reason was unhappy with his surgeon or maybe he moved... I can't remember. Due to his location he goes to Mexicali for fills and totally adores his surgeon. When I see his posts I'll come back and tell you who he is, you can ask him for yourself how he likes it.
It's just kinda nice to have it done under fluoro each time, you get the right fill right up front.

Thanks!!!....would like to try under fluoro....have heard that it may help....I was either under or overfilled...never have gotten it right yet.....horrible heartburn which would wake me up and I would end up throwing up the "yuck"...couldn't hold it down. Pretty sure that is what caused the stomach to slip. And from what I have been reading on the boards if you slip once you have a better chance of slipping again (which I have done, three times now)....And my doctors answer to my horrible heartburn was tums....which I did try on top of prescription from my gp to help save my esophagus. I would be spitting up blood from the acid. And then I was also told today that I probably should have the surgery done again for better placement....he placed it where it was not me. Can't afford to pay for this surgery again. Lost 50 lbs but most of it was either from being sick or drinking the protein shakes before the surgery. I am hoping that I get one more chance to try again...maybe with the right doctor I can get it to work. Have another 50 lbs to lose.... My doctor doesn't even know what size my band is....didn't write it down during/after surgery.....I should have figured that was a problem right off the bat....that is what happens when I don't do my homework....I hope that I haven't done to much damage and do get one more time to try and get it right....
I go to an awesome Dr. in Los Angeles. I've recommended people and they are extremely happy with him. Here is his info: www.drcarsonliu.com/
