WEIGH****CHERS

One thing to remember about WW, some of those low points foods may be high in calories. If you are doing WW, it's not a bad idea to also count calories. I did, and discovered that my 27 points was about 1500-1700 calories per day, plus the extra 35 they gave me to "gamble" with.
I didn't lose too well on that plan and had to abdandon it within a few months, because I just couldn't do all the exercise needed due to injuries, etc.
It's a good program for healthy eating tho, and not a bad place to start. Jus****ch the caloric intact, as it can be deceptive if you are only counting points.... Also, they used to emphasize lots of "complex carbs"-- whole grains, etc... and I can't eat too many carbs or I gain like there is no tomorrow!
Good luck!!
All the best,
Mary

I tried it for about 2 weeks. It was too much food for me. I was hyper focused on getting all my points in and I personally didn't need to eat that much food. I do better tracking calories. I like the accountability of the weigh in, but the points were too many for me personally.

I count points, cals and protein. Doing it the "old" way, yesterday I got 21 points in with 900 cals and 95 grams of protein. In 8 days I lost 6 pounds.

A long time ago I used Dailyplate by Livestrong and it was really easy and kept all the foods I used frequently, so I could just click on them. I went to the site recently and it was all changed and I don't have my list anymore. I will have to check out sparkpeople. Is it free?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Do you all know that there is a food tracking program right here on Obesity Help. I put in all that foods that I eat and continue to add any new ones. Took a little time and effort to get it set up but once it is done,,,its great. I took my laptop computer into the kitchen, set it on the counter and started going thru the fridge and cupboards and put in foods that I use. I use this sight for my food tracking and I find it as good as any others I have used in the past. What I also like is at the end of the day they do a circle graph and it shows you what percentage amount of fat, proteins, carbs etc that you have eaten so you can really see the over all daily totals. OH also as other tracking that may be of interest to you. There is lots on this sight to help each of us.
