P.S. And as so many others have said walk, walk, walk. I started the minute I got back to my room and am walking 1 1/2 miles, weather permiting, daily.

I think the gas was one of the worst side effects of surgery. It will get better. Hang in there.

Gas was horrible for me as well.  I found that a heating pad as well as the walking everyone suggests is very helpful.  It does get better.......As my step-daughter kept telling me "Just keep your eye on the prize".

I have tried Ibprofen...I have tried walking and heating pads....gas x strips....and Im 4 days out....NO LUCK FOR ME! I guess I have to just suffer through it...But man it hurts!

Also try a heating pad or laying down and pulling your knees up to your chest for a few seconds. It helps move the gas around and hopefully out.

ALOT of walking helped me and I feel your pain! I felt gas in places i didnt know i could!

 I had my surgery on 12/22, and for the gas I walked around, also stretching my arms above my head worked too.  I also used a heating pad, especially when I was sleeping.  My gas was gone by the third day, and no Gas X strips for me.  I hope this helps.

Lap Band on 08/26/10 with
Walk around and once your scares heal, try a heating pad.  Worked wonders for me with gas.
