Feelings on Fills?
After reading all the scarey blogs about fills, I like you was concerned, Today I had my 1st fill. Barely felt a pinch and that was it. Drank some water no problem..Had 1cc put in. Now 2 days on just liquids and then 2 days pureed and then regular food. Sometimes we have to find out for ourself and not take the positive things we read and stay with that. Yes things do happan but when your a neebee it tends to scare us...Good luck when you get yours...

i was pretty freaked out too, but it's not that bad. It's considerably less painful than a blood draw. Truly!!! You can't really feel it. I know thats weird to say, but it's true. you can feel some funky pressure, but thats about it. The worst part is if they numb it up. That little bugger stings for about 2 seconds till it goes all numb.
here are some links of different types of fills. Each office is a little different in their technique.

I hate having fills done because I am afraid of accidental punctures to the band tubing. Especially NOW since I have had to have my port replaced. Soooo want to avoid them!!
As far as needles, I am not afraid of needles, I have pretty deep veins, so giving blood has always been a multi puncture exprience.
Honestly the huber needle they use is not a bad experience... at all. It is very thin.
