So sorry about you mum - my very best wishes.

Not surprised about you wanting a cigarette. I gave up 35 years ago and still sometimes want one!

Sending prayers for healing for your mother and strenght for you too!  I have elderly parents and I know what it's like to be faced with serious health issues.  It's a helpless feeling to see someone you love suffering.  Don't smoke, don't turn to food.  It won't help you deal with the stress.  Take a walk, listen to music, take a hot bath, etc. instead.  You'll feel powerful if you can say no to the temptations.

Best~

I agree with kate. I gave it up 24 yrs ago. Something I have done to keep my hands busy is I crochet.
I can't eat or smoke with my fingers busy.
