I love my band because....

it has helped me conquer 30 years of yo-yo dieting

it allows me to live a normal life

it doesn't make me malabsorb nutrients

it has enabled me to change me life! And for the better!

And please - anyone tempted to come in and say " you are one of the lucky ones" Despite what you think, I am not stupid, I know the risks, I know the stats. But you can say how bad it is for you, so now I am saying how good it is for me! Just, for once, keep out of it! They probably will because most of them are blocked and so won't see this thread!!!!

I am going on a lets-be-positive campaign. JeanM calls it the Pollyanna Club! Well, sign up, folks! Why shouldn't we celebrate our great gift - our bands.

I hearby declare, i am not going to challenge the nasties. But every time I read a nasty post, I won't answer directly but I will post a new, positive thread! So join me! You read a doom and gloom post (NOT the genuine ones asking for support - they deserve our help and respect); don't fuel the flames by challenging. Just start a new thread entitled "I love my band because..."

Highest 290, Banded - 248 Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006. Regain of 28lbs 2013-14. ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

I love my band !!

Finally have to admit for a week I have been cussing my friend in me because of not losing weight . I hate PMS !!!!!!!!!! I will say that again I hate PMS !!!! lol.

Finally after 8 days I lost my pound and half and that makes a grand total of 30 pounds off me in less then two months of having my surgery

I still haven't started my period yet so I'm excepting another little drop again once I start

I'm loving life right now

30 pounds and almost 17 inches off and my two month post op will be Jan 22 so I'm head of schedule on where I wanted to be at this time :o)

19 more pounds and I will be out of the 300's for good and this time I can say that and actually mean it !!! Yeah me !!!

I'm on board, Kate! I really think a lot of people don't understand how important it is to focus on the positive. Where the mind leads, the body will follow. Am I saying that people who suffered a complication wished it on themselves? NO, NO, NO! But, you will get better results overall by seeking out positive, helpful information, and by following those people who have been successful.

I love my band because now when it's time to get back on the bandwagon because of weight gain, I'm dealing with 10-15 extra pounds instead of 30-40 or more!
