The dreaded day is here and strangely im excited!
Hello Lyn. How i read the Phase II was that we were allowed 3 dairy's (choose milk or yogurt) per day. If you wanted to mix them with your shake you could but it would count as a dairy. Not sure if i wrote that confusingly. I hope I'm on the right track. Going back and re-reading.

Congratulations! The two weeks will be gone before you know and you will have done it! Take it one day at a time, one protein drink at a time. You can do this. We all have, and the outcome and results are great. You want those few pounds off before surgery! You'll feel better too about it.
My doctor had me on liguid proteins, with maybe some yoghurt in the two weeks prior, with only clear liquids and broths the day before and two days after. Then protein drinks for two weeks. Then mushies.
Interesting that you can have raw veggies, but I do see that is at lunch, so they digest best then. I don' tsee how that can be done a day before surgery. You might want to check on that.
Tips for before surgery to have on hand at home:
Liquid Tylenol (unless you get another liquid pain reliever from your doctor)
Gas Ex or Gas X strips...VERY important. Pain from gas is much more than the pain from the surgery itself (which is practically nothing, at least for me).
If your doctor says "walk" the very next day, then do so, even if you don't want to. Helps greatly with the gas.
A heating pad helps also.
Make your jellos before hand and any other home made broths, etc.
In the meantime, all the very best to you in the coming weeks!
Monique

Bless your heart!
Good luck on your liquid diet. I had a 5 day pre op diet and i lost 19 pounds just in those 5 days. After the 3rd day it got better.
Hang in there. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!
The NUT allowed sf fudgesicles. That helped me out a lot.
I couldnt do the sf stuff. All the splenda and artificial sweetener gave me headaches, so try it out.
